It was an unforgettable experience. My visit to Vancouver, Canada, was through a road trip from Seattle, USA. At some point during our trip, our whole contingent was perplexed about our whereabouts. However, we decided to take a break from the navigation and ordered ourselves burgers instead. You can watch our trip here.Â
All in all, we eventually made it to Canada from America by car. I even took a short nap during the hours-long trip. Kudos to the one who drove us all to Canada! He got a great break during his rest in the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel, the hotel we chose to check-in.
During our 3-day stay in Vancouver, the most expensive city in Canada, we tried to squeeze in our explorations of the famous places in Vancouver. Here is a list of famous places you must visit when you travel to Vancouver.
1. Granville Island Public Market
The time in Granville Island Public Market was a fascinating one. There were options for buying goods and cooked meals. In addition to that, we got to play with the pigeons and seagulls and sight-see around Granville Island Public Market. And depending on where you walk, you’d watch artists busking around the area!
Address: Public Market, 1689 Johnston St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9, Canada
It was a rare opportunity for us to see Vancouver with a 360° view. Vancouver looks so beautiful with their architecture seen from above. The Vancouver Lookout also provides a tour guide who gives you explanations about Vancouver’s city elements. You can choose to follow the guide’s tour in its entirety or opt-out when you do not need explanations. There is an elevator made out of glass that takes you up and down the Vancouver Lookout!
Address: 555 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6B 4N6, Canada
3. Stanley Park
Stanley Park is 405-hectares. There are many things that you can view in the park. Seeing the Totem Poles and being by the sea was enjoyable. In addition to that, we had an awesome view of the Lions Gate Bridge!
Address: Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada
4. Canada Line – SkyTrain
The SkyTrain gives the experience of being in Vancouver’s light rapid transit system. In addition to that, you can view Vancouver from the inside of a train.
Address: You can hop on the SkyTrain through one of their stations located around British Columbia!
