Interesting Things to do in Oregon
Visiting Oregon again after uncountable visits, inspired me to create a guide for you to have an idea of the interesting things to do in Oregon. Prior to this trip in 2015, I have also participated in a family relative’s wedding as a flower girl. In 2015, we spent 7 days enjoying Oregon.
Here are some things to do in Oregon that I enjoyed:
1. Breathing in fresh waterfall air.
My family and I stayed in Portland during our visit to Oregon. As the waterfall was located about 28 miles from Portland, we drove there. This waterfall is called, ‘Multnomah Falls’. It was a great experience to take in the fresh negative ions from Multnomah Falls. Before we left, we paid a visit to the souvenir shop.
2. Exploring a submarine.
The submarine that my family and I visited is called the ‘USS Blueback (SS-581)’ in Portland, Oregon. The USS Blueback is the last of the diesel-electric submarine from the U.S. Navy. It is located by the banks of Willamette River. In order to explore the submarine, you would need to go through the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).
3. Experiencing snow in the mountains.
Our friends who resided in Portland, Oregon drove with us to Mount Hood. Mount Hood is a potentially active stratovolcano. It is located about 50 miles from Portland. The view of the snow was beautiful. Our friends taught us how to snow sled and how to build a snowman.
